mission bay 1st day of summer 2010

i have been keeping a funny daily picture thing of myself for a while now, since i've been using the mac. photobooth is just too tempting, ya know? maybe one day i'll put the pics up for others to see. not now. ok, maybe a few... i'm such a ham. here's me today being a goof in my badass obnoxious pink lipstick brought to you by NARS:

oh, hello.

anyhoo, summer is here. we are now into day 2 of summer, to be precise. how did i ring in the 1st day of summer? hmm... well i woke up around 9, that was a struggle in itself. it has been lately for whatever reason. i got up and met a few girlfriends over at one of the girlfriend's place of work, a tattoo shop. we shot the shit on the curb having girl talk in the sun then when it got too hot, in the back lot of the shop in the soon freezing shade. hours of girl talk and chain smoking (on their parts, not mine). after this, i gave my friend a ride home and on the way home we visited jason at his recent job, my friend's dad's condo downtown. jason's been redoing the floors. after that i took my friend home, i retired home, and jason came home shortly after. 

jason and i decided to watch the sun set, so we drove to mission bay and i snapped a few pics of that. nothing spectacular, but yesterday was the longest day of the year after all, and i wanted to document it. fyi, it's the pic at the top of this post. it was still beautiful i suppose; i mean, you can't have a bad summer sun set in san diego. it's just not possible.

so what's on the plate for the rest of summer? here's a list of to-do summer things for me this year:

- san diego fair

- skinny dipping in the ocean

- bonfires at the beach or bay

- camping in joshua tree

- "doing it" out in the open at night in joshua tree

- road trips (new mexico is main on my wish list)

- green valley falls swimming days

- possible san francisco trip

- LA mini trips

lots to look forward to indeed.
